Councillor Doug Munn, Ward 4
Doug Munn is the councillor for Ward 4 which includes Taxis River, Parkers Ridge, Astle, and McGivney. He graduated from Upper Miramichi Regional High School in 1996 and has worked since then in the forestry sector.
He is interested in seeing the economy diversify and grow for the Upper Miramichi area and not rely completely on the forest industry. He believes with the beautiful scenery, landscape, hunting, fishing, ATVing, snowmobiling and boating will provide opportunities for an increase in local tourism. Our proximity to Fredericton with the new highway will attract more people to the area and possibly more businesses.
He enjoys fishing, hunting, hockey, and snowmobiling. He lives in the area with his wife and two children.
