Councilor Grant Ross, Ward 2
Grant Ross is the councillor for Ward 2 which includes Boiestown, Ludlow, Priceville and Porter Cove. He also holds the position of Deputy Mayor. Grant graduated from Upper Miramichi Regional High School in 1987 and received his Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1992. He has involved in numerous community activities including coaching sports teams, the Upper Miramichi Fire Department, and the Parent School Support Committee. He has also held many positions in other associations in the community including Director of the Miramichi Watershed Management Co., Vice-President of both the Central Woodmen’s Museum and Boiestown Athletic Association and life membership with the Miramichi Salmon Association.
He was employed with the Miramichi Salmon Association for 14 years. He is currently teaching in Upper Miramichi at the elementary and high school levels. His hobbies include canoeing, camping, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He lives in the area with his wife and two children.
